Overview

Blackhawk Technical College is seeking candidates to instruct within our Radiography Program.  Candidates will instruct at our Beloit-Janesville Campus or within Clinical Settings.  

Responsibilities

  1. Facilitation of Learning. Plan, prepare and deliver instruction and facilitate the learning of students. Assess the learning outcomes of students at the unit, course, and program level.
  2. Classroom Management. Fulfill assigned schedule, maintain accurate student attendance and grade records, maintain instructional environment with emphasis on safety, housekeeping, and equipment security, and ensure opportunities for student/participant evaluation.
  3. Interpersonal/Team Skills. Participate in activities of the instructional team, including planning, development, scheduling, and budgeting as a cooperative and professional team player.
  4. Student Support and Guidance. Support students as a mentor and role model in the achievement of their learning and career goals
  5. (If applicable) Curriculum Development. Develop, revise, and continually update curriculum and instructional materials which are competency-based, current, consistent with employer expectations, and aligned with the college policy on level of required documentation.
  6. Participate in clinical education activities/visits as assigned by Radiography Program Director.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Certified for a minimum of two years as a radiographer by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  2. Bachelor’s Degree in Radiography, Education or other related field.

 

Desired Qualifications:

  1. Previous didactic or clinical education experience in a JRCERT accredited radiography program.
  2. Advanced ARRT Certification in Computed Tomography (CT) or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).

Blackhawk Technical College does not offer H-1B or other work authorization visa sponsorship for this position. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and maintain work authorization throughout the employment term.
